Multi-Project Wafer Service

The SMIC Multi-Project Wafer (MPW) program provides customers a cost-effective prototyping service by enabling multiple customers and projects to share common masks and engineering wafers.

MPW schedule information, seat reservation, service request and tape-out can be done conveniently in the SMIC Now system. For more information, please contact one of our regional offices .For LF Avezzano Fab in Europe, reservation are done by contacting regional LF office

Currently, we provide shuttle services for processes from 0.18μm to FinFET on a regular basis. Product ranges include logic, mixed-signal/RF CMOS, EEPROM/Flash, CIS, BCD, ect. Shuttle service for 55nm logic is available 6 times per year and 40nm, 28nm service is available 4 times per year; MPW service for other technologies is available on up to 6 shuttles per month. SMIC’s MPW shuttle service provides rapid turnaround time and greater flexibility for our customers.

To enable process and product design checks and verification so as to avoid delays, SMIC employs standard monitors (SRAM and EEPROM) in our MPW service.

Customers can enjoy enhanced accessibility to our MPW service, which is also available at 15 MPW centers throughout strategic locations in China. These centers are:
